Garrett Stephens

Director

Garrett joined JCD staff in 2014 to support the forest conservation program and is now the Lead Forester and Staff Supervisor. He's had a variety of work experiences in the Midwest and Western states in back-country leadership and natural resource management. He earned a B.S. in Environmental Biology from Greenville College in 2008 and a M.S in Ecology from Colorado State University in 2014.

Marenna Disbro

Urban Agriculture/Noxious Weed Coordinator

Marenna joined the JCD team as the Urban Agriculture/Noxious Weed Coordinator in June of 2019. Prior to joining JCD Marenna was the Carson City Weed Coalition Coordinator with Carson City Parks, in Carson City Nevada. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Nevada, Reno with an emphasis in botany, ecology, and natural resources.

Matt McLemore

Conservation Forester

Matt joined the JCD team as a Conservation Forester in June of 2019. Prior to joining JCD Matt was a Natural Resource Specialist in Forestry for Jefferson County Open Space. He has a Bachelor of Environmental Science Degree with a concentration in ecological restoration from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Dan Walsh

Natural Resource Technician

Dan joined the JCD team in 2019 as a Natural Resource Technician. Before joining JCD, Dan worked for the National Park Service in Alaska and Colorado and ran a freelance science writing and editing business. He has a BA in Geosciences from Williams College.

Tatum VanDam

Conservation Forester

Tatum joined the JCD team as a Conservation Forester in Spring of 2021. Prior to that, Tatum worked as a Biological Technician on several forestry related research projects throughout Colorado and Oregon. She has a B.S. in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability from Colorado State University.

Mitch Yergert

Operations Assistant

Mitch joined the District in 2019 with over 30 years of experience in agriculture. He provides administrative and operational support for JCD programs. He earned a degree in Agronomy from Colorado State University.
