We are Excited to Share JCD Staff's Conservation Goals for 2024!

As we step into the new year, our passionate team at Jefferson Conservation District is geared up for a year of purposeful goals and positive environmental change. Here's a glimpse into the resolutions and aspirations of our dedicated staff:

Weed Warriors Unite!

"My conservation resolution for 2024 is to get as many acres of weeds treated as possible, since I can make by far the biggest positive impact on the environment through my job. Let's join forces to create a healthy habitat for our local flora and fauna!" —Jake, Vegetation Management Technician

Forests on the Rise

"My conservation resolutions are to restore over 400 acres of front range forests and to see a moose 🫎 at one of our project sites. Let's work together to bring back the forest mosaic, ensuring a healthier ecosystem for generations to come." —Matt, Forest Program Manager

Sustainable Living in Action

"In 2024, my resolution is to only buy things I need and try to reuse and fix things I already own! Small changes in our daily lives can lead to significant environmental benefits. Who's up for the challenge of reducing our ecological footprint?" —Cragen, Natural Resource Specialist

Capturing Nature's Beauty

"My resolution is to bring my camera out on more projects. I see a ton of cool wildlife but never have a good way to capture it. Let's document and share the incredible biodiversity we encounter during our conservation endeavors, and share our story!" —Kyle, Forest Biomass Coordinator

Together, we can make 2024 a year of conservation achievements. Join us in our journey towards a greener, healthier planet! #ConservationGoals #NewYearNewHabitat #SustainableFuture
